The financial situation that the new management board encountered at Grupa Azoty prioritizes ensuring the continuity of operations within the Capital Group companies and developing and implementing a recovery plan. Consequently, Grupa Azoty is making difficult decisions to withdraw from sponsorship activities. It is worth noting that the sponsorship policies adopted by the previous management board do not allow Grupa Azoty companies to engage in such activities in 2024.
As a result, the agreement with ZAKSA S.A. has been terminated, effective June 30, 2024. Importantly, both for ZAKSA and Chemik Police, where the company holds ownership interests, Grupa Azoty is taking all possible measures to ensure the clubs' operations in the upcoming season. These measures include engaging in the process of seeking sponsors. We are in constant contact with the presidents of the sports clubs, exploring potential synergies with our business partners, and proposing joint promotional activities, including using Grupa Azoty's infrastructure. The schedule for these activities is being continuously updated. By the end of June, we plan to develop directional solutions for both ZAKSA and Chemik Police in collaboration with the clubs' management boards.
