In connection with what is happening in Ukraine, companies of the Grupa Azoty Group are taking a number of initiatives to support Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war. The relief efforts of all state-owned enterprises are being coordinated by the Polish Ministry of State Assets and Ministry of the Interior and Administration.
Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn is implementing a capex project named ‘Upgrade of the synthesis gas compression unit supplying the Ammonia Plant’. The general contractor is Grupa Azoty Polskie Konsorcjum Chemiczne, and the total value of the project is estimated at PLN 180m.
The current situation on the fertilizer market was among the topics discussed by representatives of Grupa Azoty with Marian Sikora, President of the Federation of Agricultural Producer Associations, and Stanisław Kacperczyk, President of the Polish Association of Grain Producers. At the meeting, Zbigniew Paprocki, Member of the Management Board and CEO of Grupa Azoty S.A., said that the adverse conditions prevailing on the fertilizer market stem from the gas crisis in Europe, that is record-high gas costs, which have risen by several hundred per cent year on year and directly translate into the current fertilizer production cost levels.
Another edition of Grupa Azoty’s customer lottery, in which the grand prize is a John Deere 5075E tractor, has just been launched. The aim is, among other things, to give farmers an opportunity to win one of the over three hundred prizes as a token of appreciation for choosing Grupa Azoty fertilizer products.
Grupa Azoty Group Integrated Report 2020 is now available online. The report presents key financial and non-financial information on the Group’s activities.
During the 2021/2022 academic year, Grupa Azoty will be represented by six Ambassadors designated by the Group’s key companies. As in previous years, the Grupa Azoty Brand Ambassador programme, the main purpose of which to increase awareness of the Group’s activities and promote it within academic communities, attracted a large group of undergraduate and graduate students of various Polish universities looking to develop professionally in the industrial sector. The inaugural meeting of the programme’s 5th edition was held on December 8th.
